DCO Board Meeting, June 7, 2006 Annual DCO Meeting. In attendance: Somewhere around 50% of the orchestra members. Treasurer report: $1400 in the bank. Add to this $200 from DCC (to apply to June 16 concert) Debt: $500 to Kevin Gilmartin, CPA Old business: Tom - June Concert 1) June Concert: Sound and amplification issues. $500 bid (Gibbons) too high. Budget $150. 10-12 mikes for strings. 2) Lighting: June Concert: Sunset: 9:10 on June 16. Lighting may not be an issue. Ask DCC to turn on the light at the gazebo peak. Contact with DCC turned over to SallyV 3) Bad weather: Cancel (but if it's just windy bring clothes pins) 4) Storage of cases. Is there a building available close by? Probably will leave cases behind The Gazebo. 5) Rehearsal Hall availability on June 14. Matt will make sure room and lavs are open. He Has keys. Will be at rehearsal at 6:30 6) Set-up: DHS will deliver stands and chairs. Volunteers will be needed to load the same after the concert. 7) What to wear for June concert: White, Black 8) Thank-You notes will become the responsibility of the secretary. 9) Minutes of meetings will be posted on the web-site. Unresolved issues and discussions: some from incoming president Mike Garrahan. Since the board decided against an automatic accession - president yielding to vice president - the suggestion was to ask Mr. Pitcher (member at large) to consider being VP. Finances: Should we start now to seek grant moneys? Stipends: For Music Director? Librarian? Equipment Manager? Duties of Principals: Bowings before copying, duplicate principal parts for all small section members. More discussion about auditions - nothing new.
